DISCOVERY

From idea to a clear plan, budget and timeline — in 2-4 weeks

Discovery is the Design phase for a new product (existing systems have separate audit products). Over 2-4 weeks we shape your idea into a spec, architecture and UX concept, and come back with a fixed-price proposal for MVP development.

What you get

Documents and artifacts you can take to investors, to the board or straight into Build — with real numbers in hand.

Product spec with the MVP scope: user scenarios, functional and non-functional requirements, clear boundaries of v1 and an explicit list of what's out.

Architecture proposal: stack and cloud choice, service and data diagrams, integrations, expected load at launch and a path for growth.

UX concept: key screens and user flows, a clickable prototype of the core scenarios and the product's tone of voice.

Fixed-price proposal for Build: total cost, team composition, timeline and release plan — no hidden multipliers, no hourly billing.

When to order

Discovery fits when you have an idea and ambition but no code and no confidence in the numbers yet.

You have a product hypothesis and early market insights but no MVP — you need to know how and at what cost it can be built.

You're preparing for a funding round or defending a budget inside a corporation — you need a spec, architecture and numbers, not slides.

You tried building it in-house or with another vendor — you ended up with a prototype but no architecture and no clear plan forward.

Inside the company there's appetite for a new direction, and you need to answer whether it's realistic — with whom and on what budget.

How we run Discovery

Four phases over 2-4 weeks — from the first interviews to defending the Build offer.

01

Context and users

Deep interviews with your team and potential users. We capture jobs-to-be-done, market constraints and regulatory considerations.

02

Scope and scenarios

We agree on what's in the MVP and what belongs in later releases. We describe scenarios and what success and failure look like in numbers.

03

Architecture and UX

We work the technical architecture and UX concept in parallel and keep them in sync — no surprises when Build starts.

04

Estimate and offer

We size the team, timeline and risks. We prepare a fixed-price Build offer and defend Discovery outcomes with you and your stakeholders.

Pricing and scope

Exact figure — after a short preliminary call. These ranges are for the KZ market 2026.

Compact

1.5–2.5M ₸

1-2 user flows, MVP scope, standard stack. For simple B2C and SaaS products.

Standard

2.5–4M ₸

Medium complexity: 3-5 user flows, integrations, basic analytics. Most startups and enterprise projects.

Deep

4M+ ₸

Multi-tenant SaaS, regulated domains (fintech, medtech), complex integrations, security audit in Discovery.

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Discovery different from a regular brief?
A brief is a 2-minute AI tool for first contact. Discovery is 2-4 weeks of engineering team work with interviews, architecture, and UX. Output is a Spec + fixed-price quote for development, not just an idea description.
Can I skip Discovery and order development directly?
You can, but then we work T&M (hour × person) with open budget. Discovery gives a fixed price — protection for both sides.
What if I decide not to proceed to Build after Discovery?
Discovery is a separate product with fixed price. Artifacts (Spec, architecture, UX, estimate) stay with you. You can take them to another vendor or in-house.
Do you do design during Discovery?
Yes — UX concept and clickable prototype of key flows are included. Final full UI design is part of Build.
Can Discovery be done faster than 2 weeks?
An express version (1 week) is possible for very simple products. But it usually lowers architectural quality — we recommend not rushing.
